I like this idea

  • Mood: Llama
  • Listening to: THIS
  • Reading: IS
  • Watching: GOING
  • Playing: TO
  • Eating: BE
  • Drinking: MY MOOD FOREVER!!!!!
Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 15 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike through when someone gets them right.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

Although this isn't likely to go well, as my ipod has both very embarassing songs, and very obscure songs. Oh god, I hope nothing too bad turns up

1. Can't stop addicted to the shindig - Red Hot Chili Peppers, By the Way, Can't Stop

2. Auschwitz, the meaning of pain - Slayer, Reign in Blood, Angel of Death

3. Faster moment spent spread tales of change within the sound - Yes, Relayer, Sound Chaser

4. When all the world was very young - David Bowie, The Man who Sold the World, The Superman

5. Welcome my son, welcome to the machine - Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here, Welcome to the Machine

6. Pan American nightmare, ten thousand feet funfair - King Crimson, Red, One More Red Nightmare

7. I don't know just where I'm going, but I'm going to try for the kingdom if I can - The Velvet Underground, The Velvet Underground and Nico, Heroin

8. The fears of an idealistic society; strike down the individual - Watchtower, Energetic Disassembly, Asylum

9. When I was young and the packed me off to school and they taught me how not to play the game - Jethro Tull, Aqualung, Wind-Up

10. Grim-faced and forbidding, their faces closed tight, an angular mass of New Yorkers- Rush, Moving Pictures, The Camera Eye

11, The wall on which the prophets wrote is cracking at the seams - King Crimson, In the Court of the Crimson King, Epitaph

12. Tell me
Remind me
Chase the water racing from the sky (actually 3 lines, but come on) - Dream Theatre, Images and Words, Under a Glass Moon

13. You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need - Pink Floyd, Animals, Dogs

14. Take you to the cinema, and leave you in a wimpy bar - you tell me that we've gone too far - come running up to me. - Jethro Tull, Aqualung, Up to Me

15. Spy Spy pretty girl, I see you see me through the window - David Bowie, Space Oddity, Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed

Quite a bit of artist repetition, but I managed to get through the first 15 songs on shuffle with no instrumentals (a real suprise), only one song that I would count as too obscure for anyone to get (I would be SERIOUSLY impressed). And only one embarassing song that's not even that embarassing I just don't like that band that much
